Antenatal care: Percentage of women with one or more live births in the three (one, two) years preceding the survey who have received at least one antenatal care during pregnancy before the most recent birth from any skilled personnel and from a doctor. If the respondent mentioned more than one provider, only the most qualified provider is considered. The DHS surveys refer births in the three years preceding the survey, the MICS2 surveys refer births in the one year preceding the survey, and the MICS3 surveys refer births in the two years preceding the survey. Every country, region and year the World Bank publishes for indicator SH.STA.ANVP.Q2.ZS (Health Nutrition and Population Statistics by Wealth Quintile), delivered as a tidy table — country, ISO code, year and value — ready for analysis in Excel, R, Python or the Intigal AI workspace. Original compiler: Household Surveys (DHS, MICS).
