Theil Index, GE(1) — every country, all years (World Bank)

The Theil index is part of a larger family of measures referred to as the General Entropy class. Compared to the Gini index, it has the advantage of being additive across different subgroups or regions in the country. However, it does not have a straightforward representation and lacks the appealing interpretation of the Gini coefficient. Every country, region and year the World Bank publishes for indicator 3.0.TheilInd1 (LAC Equity Lab), delivered as a tidy table — country, ISO code, year and value — ready for analysis in Excel, R, Python or the Intigal AI workspace. Original compiler: LAC Equity Lab tabulations of SEDLAC (CEDLAS and the World Bank)..
