Under 5 Mortality Rate per 1000 is the number of deaths of children less than five years of age per 1000 live births. The rate for a given region is the number of children dying under five years of age, divided by the number of live births during that period, multiplied by 1,000. Every country, region and year the World Bank publishes for indicator IN.POV.INF.MORTRATE.UNDR5 (Country Partnership Strategy for India (FY2013 - 17)), delivered as a tidy table — country, ISO code, year and value — ready for analysis in Excel, R, Python or the Intigal AI workspace.
